Fueling A Sustainable Future
We believe that creating a better world for generations to come starts today.
Our Collective Responsibility
At Tiger Dining, we’re committed to making a positive impact on campus and the community by focusing on responsible sourcing, reducing food waste, and offering nutritious meals made with responsible practices. From supporting local partners to making thoughtful choices in our dining operations, we’re working every day to build a more sustainable future. And you can be a part of the effort, too!
Working Toward Zero Waste
We proudly support the sustainability goals of Auburn University. Here are a few active initiatives.
ReusePass Program
The Reuse Pass program lets you order meals in reusable, eco-friendly containers at Wellness Kitchen, TigerZone, and Foy on the Fly through the Grubhub app. When you opt in, your receipt includes a unique QR code that links to your ReusePass account, where you can track any containers, you’ve taken home and their return deadlines. The system makes sustainable, low-waste dining simple on campus.
Campus Kitchen
The Campus Kitchen at Auburn University is a student-led nonprofit that fights food waste and hunger by recovering surplus food from campus dining halls and turning it into meals for the local community. Supported by University Outreach, the organization has saved over 160,000 pounds of food and delivered more than 153,000 meals, promoting sustainability and positive impact in Auburn and Lee County.
Utilizing Campus Programs
Auburn Dining is utilizing campus programs like AUBEES, Vertical Farms, and the AU Meat Lab to bring hyper-local ingredients to students-using campus-harvested honey in dishes like honey mustard, sourcing fresh produce from student-run vertical farms, and incorporating meats from the AU Meat Lab when available.
Showcasing Our Local Partner Relationships
Tiger Dining sources food from many local farmers, growers, and distributors. Our partners change throughout the year depending on seasonality and availability.
The Common Market
The Common Market is a nonprofit distributor that connects communities with fresh, sustainably grown food from family farms. Tiger Dining partners with The Common Market to bring this locally sourced produce into our residential dining facilities, supporting regional food systems and providing students with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Here a just some of the local farms that we partner with:

AU-BEES
AUBEES maintains Auburn’s honeybee colonies and produces locally sourced honey, and through our partnership, Campus Dining uses this honey in dishes like our house-made honey mustard. This collaboration supports sustainability, education, and the use of hyper-local ingredients on campus.
